Basketball Recap: Broadneck Takes a Loss

Broadneck saw some tournament action on Saturday. They took a 49-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Springdale Prep Lions.

Springdale Prep found their leader in sophomore Maddie Poole, who posted eight points. Samayria Burrison was another key player, putting up five points.

Broadneck's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Springdale Prep, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-13 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Broadneck will square off against Glen Burnie at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Springdale Prep, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Greater Grace Christian Academy at 6:15 p.m. on January 9, 2025.
