Basketball Recap: Kiel Comes Up Short

Kiel lost against Roncalli back in December of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Kiel Raiders took a 76-63 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Roncalli Jets. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 78th, while the Jets are ranked 17th).

Kiel's defeat dropped their record down to 15-5. As for Roncalli, the win (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 16-1.

Coming up, Kiel will be playing in front of their home fans against Valders at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Kiel's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last nine matchups. As for Roncalli, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 58-52 victory against Little Chute on the 15th.
