Recap: Comer Catamounts vs. ITW David Speer Academy Pride
The Comer Catamounts suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Thursday. They were beaten by ITW David Speer Academy 63-26. Comer has not had much luck with ITW David Speer Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Miabella Collazo continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for ITW David Speer Academy, scoring 19 points along with nine steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Roshaunda Wilson, who scored eight points along with four blocks and two steals.
Comer's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for ITW David Speer Academy, their win bumped their record up to 9-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Comer will face off against UIC College Prep at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. UIC College Prep comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 21 points in their last six games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for ITW David Speer Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge Pritzker at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Pritzker will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings (they are ranked 532nd, while ITW David Speer Academy is ranked 219th).
