Volleyball Recap: West Springfield Takes a Loss + How To Watch

West Springfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Putnam Vo-Tech Beavers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Beavers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in September.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 18-25, 25-18, 25-10.

Emma Krivolenko paced West Springfield's offense, picking up seven kills. Krivolenko got some help from Sophia Stepchuk and her 16 assists. Rylie Gearing controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

West Springfield's loss dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Putnam Vo-Tech, their victory bumped their record up to 11-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Springfield will square off against Turners Falls at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Putnam Vo-Tech, they will host Wahconah Regional at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday.
