Basketball Game Preview: Scotland/Menno Trappers vs. Irene/Wakonda Eagles

The Scotland/Menno Trappers just played last yesterday, but they'll still welcome the Irene/Wakonda Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Scotland/Menno is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Platte/Geddes on Thursday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Scotland/Menno came up short against Platte/Geddes, falling 63-42. The Trappers were down 51-28 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Kory Keppen put forth a good effort for the losing side as he posted 12 points and three steals. Treytan Bult was another key player, putting up six points.

Meanwhile, Irene/Wakonda ended up a good deal behind Howard on Tuesday and lost 60-44. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now lost six in a row.

Scotland/Menno's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Irene/Wakonda, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8.
