The home team had come away the winner the last five times Dike-New Hartford and Hudson had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Wolverines put the hurt on the Pirates with a sharp 10-2 win on Friday. The Wolverines might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by six runs or more this season.

Dike-New Hartford's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-0-1. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Hudson, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Dike-New Hartford beat the Pirates by a score of 13-0 later that day.
