Basketball Recap: Wood River Takes a Loss

Wood River played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt an 84-36 loss at the hands of the Vallivue Falcons. The Wolverines were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 46-22.

Wood River lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Max Fife, who posted eight points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sully Carter, who had seven points.

Wood River's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Vallivue, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Wood River didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 67-39 loss against Caldwell on the 14th. Vallivue and Ridgevue will compete for holiday cheer at 3:00 p.m. on December 21st. Vallivue knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Ridgevue likes a good challenge.
