After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Erie, Horizon was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Skyline Falcons.
Horizon walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-12, 24-26, 25-21.
Reese Hudson was a one-man wrecking crew for Horizon as she had nine digs and seven aces. Those seven aces gave Hudson a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Sarah Vaness, who had 15 digs, three aces, and a kill.
She wasn't the only good server: Horizon was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 18 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.
Horizon's record now sits at 4-7. As for Skyline, they dropped their record down to 8-7 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.
Horizon will challenge Loveland at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Skyline, they will host Erie at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
