Volleyball Recap: MAST Charter II Starts off Right with Win over Horace Furness

MAST Charter II had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Horace Furness 3-2.

MAST Charter II wouldn't go down easily and took Horace Furness into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-20, 18-25, 22-25, 16-14.

Johan Rodriguez Conde paced MAST Charter II's offense, picking up seven kills. Rodriguez Conde got some help from Jhosua Pou and his ten assists. Abbos Dosmatov controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. MAST Charter II will challenge New Foundations at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Horace Furness, they will square off against Thomas A. Edison at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
