Basketball Game Preview: Daniel Lions vs. Dalton Catamounts

The Daniel Lions will take on the Dalton Catamounts in a tournament on Thursday. Daniel is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 64.4 points per game this season.

Daniel took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They had just enough and edged out Fountain Inn 58-55.

Daniel's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was James Epting, who almost dropped a double-double with 12 points and nine assists. Those nine assists gave Epting a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jackson Conley, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds.

Meanwhile, Dalton waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Raiders 65-29. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Catamounts' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 165th, while the Raiders are ranked 512th).

Daniel's record now sits at 6-1. As for Dalton, their record is now 5-2.
