After a string of six wins, Benet Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They lost 20-6 to the Marist RedHawks. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Redwings have suffered since April 29th.

Angela Horejs made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Sophia Rosner was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI.

Benet Academy's loss dropped their record down to 13-15. As for Marist, the win was the 19th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 27-1.

Looking ahead, Benet Academy will take on Providence Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Marist, they will square off against Crown Point at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the RedHawks 1.2, the Bulldogs 1.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
