Basketball Recap: Weedsport Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Weedsport, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They came out on top against the Sandy Creek Comets by a score of 55-42 on Friday. For the Wolverines, this counts as revenge for the 57-48 victory the Comets walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.

Weedsport's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Sandy Creek, they moved to 4-4 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Weedsport will welcome Port Byron at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Sandy Creek, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Immaculate Heart Central at 6:30 p.m.
