Basketball Recap: Grant Takes a Loss

After flying high against Cordova last Wednesday, Grant came back down to earth. The Grant Pacers fell 51-38 to the Destiny Christian Academy Lions on Friday. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pacers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 60-37 on January 6th.

Myles Wiggins was a one-man wrecking crew for Destiny Christian Academy as he almost dropped a double-double on 23 points and nine boards. That's the most rebounds Wiggins has posted since back in February of 2024. Jephte Tambala was another key player, putting up eight points and six boards.

Grant's defeat dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Destiny Christian Academy, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 12-9.

Grant will head out to challenge Kennedy at 7:30 p.m. on January 31st. As for Destiny Christian Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 79-62 loss against Millennium on the 25th.
