Soccer Game Preview: Belen Jesuit vs. Key West

The Belen Jesuit Wolverines will take on the Key West Conchs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Belen Jesuit is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They put the hurt on St. Brendan with a sharp 8-0 win. Considering the Wolverines have won eight contests by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Their offense was hitting St. Brendan from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Luis Garcia-Chacon led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, Key West hasn't lost a match since December 20, 2024, a trend which continued in their latest game on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past TERRA Environmental 2-1.

Belen Jesuit is also on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 37 goals over those 11 games. As for Key West, their win bumped their record up to 10-3-3.

Belen Jesuit was able to grind out a solid victory over Key West when the teams last played back in November of 2023, winning 4-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for Belen Jesuit since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
