Crestview has gone 8-2 against Western Reserve recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Cougars will challenge the Roughriders at 5:00 p.m. Crestview's hitters haven't had much luck over their past three matchups, but Monday's contest will give them a chance to turn things around.

Crestview came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 12-2 to Hillsdale.

Crestview saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gavin Barker, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Western Reserve came up short against Sandusky on Wednesday and fell 10-6.

Crestview now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Western Reserve, they dropped their record down to 1-1 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Crestview took their victory against Western Reserve in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 19-7 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
