Softball Recap: Littlefield Snags Sixth Victory in Last Seven Games

Littlefield's tournament run continued when they took on Pecos on Friday. The Littlefield Wildcats blew past the Pecos Eagles 12-3. Considering the Wildcats have won six matchups by more than seven runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Brianna Aleman and Myli Hernandez did most of the damage at the plate: Aleman went 2-for-3 with one home run, while Hernandez scored two runs while going 3-for-3. That's the most hits Hernandez has posted since back in April of 2024. Natalia Sanchez also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Littlefield has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.9 runs on average over those games. Pecos' loss dropped their record down to 6-10.

Littlefield has already played their next contest, an 11-1 victory against Non Varsity Tournament Opponent on the 28th. As for Pecos, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, an 11-0 win against Tulia on the 28th.
