Basketball Recap: Bloomington Bruins vs. Hemet Bulldogs

Bloomington lost a close one when they played last Tuesday but unfortunately for them the defeat they were handed on Wednesday was a bit more commanding. They came up short against the Hemet Bulldogs, falling 74-53. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bruins of the 58-23 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2015.

Hemet found their leader in sophomore Matthew Torres, who went 6 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 29 points plus two steals and two blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Torres has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Quinton Skinner, who went 7 for 14 en route to 15 points plus eight rebounds and six assists.

Bloomington's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Hemet, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-2.

Bloomington has already played their next game (against Hemet), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
