Blue Valley North won the last time they faced Olathe South and things went their way on Saturday too. The Mustangs had just enough and edged out the Falcons 2-1.

Blue Valley North had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 25-21, 25-13.

Blue Valley North can attribute much of their success to Ainsley Belford, who had nine digs and two aces. Lucia Noll also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Blue Valley North is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-3 record this season. As for Olathe South, they dropped their record down to 4-8 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coincidentally, Blue Valley North and Olathe South will both be playing Mill Valley the next time they take the court. The Mustangs will head out to face the Jaguars on Saturday, while the Falcons will play them later in the day, at 8:00 a.m.
