Baseball Recap: Central Catholic Takes a Loss

Central Catholic couldn't beat Catholic Central on Friday even though they stacked four runs on them in the seventh inning. The Fighting Irish came up short against the Shamrocks, falling 13-6. The Fighting Irish's defeat continues a trend for the team, making it seven in a row.

Dre Wardrop and Dalton McIlhargey stepped up to the plate in a big way. Wardrop got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI, while McIlhargey went 2-for-4 with two runs and one triple.

Central Catholic's record now sits at 3-10. As for Catholic Central, their win bumped their record up to 2-5.

While Central Catholic had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
