Baseball Game Preview: Bolles Bulldogs vs. Middleburg Broncos

The Bolles Bulldogs will head out to square off against the Middleburg Broncos at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Last Thursday, Bolles came up short against Englewood and fell 5-1. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bolles got a good showing from Jaxson Richter, who pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Furthermore, Richter didn't allow a single walk, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in February.

On the hitting side, Denzel Del Valle Delgado made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that he hit this season.

Meanwhile, after only one run in their last matchup, Middleburg made sure to put some runs up on the board against Bradford on Monday. Middleburg sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 19-17 win over Bradford. The victory continues a trend for the Broncos in their matchups with the Tornadoes: they've now won three in a row.

Middleburg got a massive performance out of Jackson Ingram, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. That's the most runs Ingram has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Nathan Austin, who scored three runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-6.

Middleburg always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .522. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Bolles' loss dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Middleburg, their record is now 9-11.
