West Stokes came into Monday's game looking for another win against South Stokes, but Ellie White wouldn't allow it. The Sauras walked away with a 3-1 win over the Wildcats on Monday with plenty of help from White, who had 19 digs and four aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last four games she's played.
South Stokes had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 25-13, 25-14, 25-11.
The victory made it two in a row for South Stokes and bumps their season record up to 3-3. As for West Stokes, they dropped their record down to 1-3 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.
South Stokes and West Stokes will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Sauras are set to challenge their familiar foe College Prep & Leadership Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, West Stokes will square off against rival Mount Airy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
