Volleyball Recap: St. Mary's Ryken Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

St. Mary's Ryken took a three-set defeat the last time they faced off against Our Lady of Good Counsel, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Knights came out on top in a nail-biter against the Falcons on Friday, sneaking past 3-2. The victory was some much needed relief for the Knights as it spelled an end to their seven-match losing streak.

St. Mary's Ryken got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Carley Greenwell out in front who had 11 digs and two aces. That's the most digs Greenwell has posted over her last seven matches.

St. Mary's Ryken's victory bumped their record up to 4-12. As for Our Lady of Good Counsel, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-12-2 record this season.
