Recap: Las Lomas Knights vs. Northgate Broncos

The Las Lomas Knights's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fifth straight loss. They fell 84-76 to Northgate. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game last Tuesday (68), Las Lomas still had to take the loss.

Las Lomas' defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dylan Devinney, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Devinney has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Julian Vaucher, who scored 13 points along with two blocks.

Las Lomas bumped their record down to 8-9 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. That rough patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.0 points per game. As for Northgate, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-6.

Las Lomas will head out on the road to challenge Clayton Valley Charter at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Northgate, they will square off against California at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. That game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: DANE WALLACE and Jake Andjus.
