Football Recap: Fairview Runs Past Seneca

It was a proper cat-fight when Fairview faced off against Seneca on Thursday. The Tigers came out on top against the Bobcats by a score of 19-7. The win continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Bobcats: they've now won five in a row.

Caden Oldach went supernova, rushing for 206 yards and one TD while picking up 7.6 yards per carry. Those 206 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Fairview was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 253 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Despite the defeat, Seneca saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Zach Moats rushed for 89 yards and one touchdown.

Fairview's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Seneca, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Coming up, Fairview will welcome Fort LeBoeuf at 7:00 p.m. on October 3. As for Seneca, they are taking a road trip to face off against Eisenhower at 1:00 p.m. on October 4.
