Basketball Game Preview: Wapakoneta Redskins vs. Jefferson Wildcats

The Wapakoneta Redskins and the Jefferson Wildcats will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wapakoneta is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.

Last Saturday, Wapakoneta had to suffer through a 67-37 loss at the hands of Liberty-Benton.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 84-50, which was the final score in Jefferson's tilt against Bluffton on Friday. The defeat continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Pirates: they've now lost seven in a row.

Jefferson's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Wapakoneta, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-3.

Wapakoneta strolled past Jefferson in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 by a score of 47-33. The rematch might be a little tougher for Wapakoneta since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
