Football Recap: Havelock Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Havelock lost against New Bern back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Rams came up short against the Bears, falling 28-7. The last quarter was a mere formality, since the game's final score was reached by the end of the third quarter.

New Bern got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Terrance McCormick out in front who threw for 354 yards and three TDs while completing 77.3% of his passes, and also punched in one rushing score. McCormick is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in each of the last three games he's played dating back to last season. 136 of McCormick's passing yards were hauled in by Kaishawn Taylor, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Havelock's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for New Bern, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coming up, Havelock will challenge Tarboro at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for New Bern, they will face off against West Craven at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
