Basketball Recap: Maplesville Skates Past Isabella with Ease

Maplesville won against Ellwood Christian last Tuesday with 52 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Thursday. The Maplesville Red Devils claimed a resounding 52-17 win over the Isabella Mustangs. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 34-13.

Devon Nix went supernova for Maplesville, putting up six points along with ten steals and six assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Chris Simon, who posted 12 points.

The victory made it two in a row for Maplesville and bumps their season record up to 2-0. As for Isabella, they dropped their record down to 0-4 with the loss, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Maplesville is headed away from home for the first time to face off against Verbena at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Isabella, they will host Holtville at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
