Soccer Recap: Sand Creek Comes Up Short

After flying high against Sierra on Tuesday, Sand Creek came back down to earth. The Scorpions fell just short of the Falcon Falcons by a score of 1-0 on Thursday. Things got a bit chippy out on the turf as both teams were handed red cards: Sand Creek's Nevaeh Reed and Falcon's Kasey Geiersbach.

Sand Creek's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Falcon, their victory bumped their record up to 4-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sand Creek will head out to square off against The Classical Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Sand Creek's defense better be ready for this one: The Classical Academy have averaged an impressive 4.4 goals per game this season. As for Falcon, they will venture away from home to face off against Elizabeth at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
