The home team had won the previous three meetings between Lone Star and The Colony, and Lone Star kept the tradition alive. The Rangers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 victory over the Cougars on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Rangers have posted since February 27th.

James Dagenhart was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. Jackson Greenway also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Lone Star has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-16 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for The Colony, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-8.

Lone Star will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Cougars: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
