Baseball Recap: Catholic Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses at Home

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Walsingham Academy, Catholic was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Peninsula Catholic Knights by a score of 4-0. That's more bragging rights for the Crusaders, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The result came thanks to Kyle Davey's shutout, as he gave up just three hits and racked up six Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Noah Woods, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Carson Norton was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Catholic's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-13. As for Peninsula Catholic, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.

Catholic will face off against Collegiate at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Peninsula Catholic, they will take on Life Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Knights surely won't give up without a fight.
