Minnechaug Regional came tearing into Saturday's matchup with six straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Hudson Hawks 3-0. The Falcons were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Hawks, so the Falcons were just returning the favor.

While Minnechaug Regional won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-17, 25-23.

Minnechaug Regional's win bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Hudson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-6.

Coming up, Minnechaug Regional will head out on the road to challenge Westfield at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. The last three games the Bombers have played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Hudson, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Groton-Dunstable at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
