Basketball Recap: Clearfield Comes Up Short on the Road Against Copper Hills

Clearfield had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Copper Hills Grizzlies by a score of 56-53 on Wednesday. The Falcons haven't had much luck with the Grizzlies recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

When it comes to explaining why Clearfield lost, don't look at Isabelle Wyaskett. Despite the final result, she posted 18 points. Wyaskett is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 17 games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Ciara De La O, who put up 16 points.

Looking ahead, Clearfield will head out on the road to take on East at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Copper Hills, they will be playing at home against Springville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
