Softball Recap: Denbigh Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Denbigh can now relate to. They came up short against the Churchland Truckers on Thursday, falling 13-2. The Patriots' loss continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Denbigh's defeat dropped their record down to 10-15. As for Churchland, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season.

Denbigh does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Churchland, they will challenge Warhill at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lions' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Truckers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
