Baseball Game Preview: Scott Beavers vs. Holcomb Longhorns

The Scott Beavers will take on the Holcomb Longhorns on Tuesday. Scott has given up an average of 12.2 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Scott took a 20-run defeat the last time they faced off against Spearville, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Beavers skirted past the Lancers 12-11.

Meanwhile, Holcomb got themselves on the board against Hugoton on Tuesday, but Hugoton never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 14-0 margin over the Eagles. The contest marked the Longhorns' most dominant win of the season so far.

The victory made it two in a row for Holcomb and bumps their season record up to 5-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.5 runs over those games. As for Scott, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.

Scott suffered a grim 19-1 defeat to Holcomb in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Beavers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
