Hillhouse's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They skirted past the Wilbur Cross Governors 5-3. The win was some much needed relief for the Academics as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Hillhouse's victory bumped their record up to 2-6. As for Wilbur Cross, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Coming up, Hillhouse will look to defend their home field on Monday against Fairfield Prep at 4:00 p.m. The Academics' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Jesuits have averaged an impressive 6.9 runs per game this season. As for Wilbur Cross, they will square off against Northwest Catholic at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
