Volleyball Recap: Erie Red Devils vs. Yates Center Wildcats

Erie was the 2-1 winner over Yates Center when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Red Devils took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats on Monday.

Erie's offense was headlined by Kylie Hodgden and Lila Michael, who picked up two kills apiece. They got some help from Kaeleigh Daniels and her 13 assists. Finally, Michael was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high four blocks.

Erie's defeat dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Yates Center, they moved to 16-9 with that win, which also ended their three-match losing streak.

Coincidentally, Erie and Yates Center will both be playing Humboldt the next time they take the court. The Wildcats will head out to face the Cubs at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Red Devils will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
