Basketball Recap: Las Cruces Snags Seventh Victory in Last Eight Games

Las Cruces had to skate by with only a three-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 24-point drubbing they dealt Roswell on Saturday. The Las Cruces Bulldawgs put the hurt on the Roswell Coyotes with a sharp 64-40 win. The Bulldawgs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 24 points or more this season.

Danae Pacheco continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 7 for 11 on her way to 18 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Sofia Herrera, who went 5 of 9 on her way to 10 points in addition to six boards and four steals.

Las Cruces is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.9 points per game.
