Basketball Game Preview: Shoals Jug Rox vs. Paoli Rams

Shoals is 0-10 against Paoli since February of 2017 but things could change on Thursday. The Shoals Jug Rox will challenge the Paoli Rams at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 55-25, which was the final score in Shoals' tilt against South Knox on Saturday. The Jug Rox have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, after a string of seven wins, Paoli's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. The matchup between them and Forest Park didn't end well, with Paoli falling 69-50.

Paoli's defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 11-2. As for Shoals, their loss dropped their record down to 5-13.

Shoals came up short against Paoli in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 51-42. Can Shoals avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
