Softball Recap: Springtown Snags Ninth Victory in Last Ten Games

Springtown got themselves on the board against Eagle Mountain on Tuesday, but Eagle Mountain never followed suit. They had just enough and edged out the Knights 1-0.

Springtown saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Riley Fagan, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Fagan is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

Springtown has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. Eagle Mountain's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 9-11-1.

Coincidentally, Springtown and Eagle Mountain will both be playing Burkburnett the next time they take the field. Eagle Mountain will host Burkburnett at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Springtown will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
