Softball Recap: Greenville Takes a Loss

Greenville managed to slip by Cairo-Durham the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Spartans lost 29-1 to the Mustangs on Tuesday. The Spartans' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it eight in a row.

Greenville saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madisyn Werner, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run.

Greenville's record now sits at 2-11. As for Cairo-Durham, with the win, they broke their eight-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-8.

Looking ahead, Greenville will host Germantown at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cairo-Durham, they will head out on the road to face off against Stillwater at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
