Basketball Recap: Millard South Finds Home Court Redemption Against Papillion-Lavista South

There's no place like home for Millard South, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They came out on top against the Papillion-LaVista South Titans by a score of 63-55 on Tuesday. For the Patriots, this counts as revenge for the 68-43 victory the Titans walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January.

Millard South found their leader in sophomore Carter Margheim, who went 7 of 11 en route to 19 points and seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Owen Anderson, who posted 11 points.

When it comes to explaining why Papillion-LaVista South lost, don't look at Bryson Bahl. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 32 points and 12 boards. Bahl's evening made it eight games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Levi Webb, who had 13 points.

The win got Millard South back to even at 1-1. As for Papillion-LaVista South, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Millard South will host Bellevue East at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Papillion-LaVista South, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lincoln Southwest at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Papillion-LaVista South knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Lincoln Southwest likes a good challenge.
