Basketball Recap: Reah Saunders' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Hilliard over Tocoi Creek + How To Watch

The Hilliard Red Flashes were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Monday as they fell 60-55 to the Tocoi Creek Toros.

Several Red Flashes players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Reah Saunders, who went 8-for-14 to rack up 21 points in addition to six steals and five boards. Another player making a difference was Justice Alderman, who shot 46% from the field en route to 17 points.

Hilliard's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hilliard will venture away from home to take on Episcopal School of Jacksonville at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Tocoi Creek, they are headed away from home for the first time to challenge Buchholz at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. This will be the Toros' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
