The Deep Run Wildcats will face off against the Cosby Titans at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Deep Run will come into the game with an undefeated record on the line.
Deep Run had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Godwin two weeks ago. The Wildcats put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 11-1 victory.
Emily Plank spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up eight Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Brooke Black, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Black is crushing it when it comes to home runs: she's launched at least one every time she's taken the field this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ella Pawlewicz, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.
Deep Run was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2025.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Cosby, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They came out on top against Monacan by a score of 6-1 on Tuesday. The Titans haven't had any issues with the Chiefs recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.
Cosby also got a great performance from Alexys Throckmorton as she struck out ten batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and only one walk).
At the plate, Aislin Bossler was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. Camrynrae Shaver was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Cosby's victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-1-1 and their overall record up to 2-2-1. As for Deep Run, their win bumped their record up to 4-0.
Wednesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Deep Run hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .385. However, it's not like Cosby struggles in that department as they've averaged .318. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
