Basketball Game Preview: Marion-Franklin Red Devils vs. South Bulldogs

Marion-Franklin is 2-7 against South since January of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Marion-Franklin Red Devils will take on the South Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m.

Marion-Franklin is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their eighth straight game dating back to last season on Tuesday. They were dealt a 68-6 loss at the hands of Africentric Early College.

Meanwhile, South put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They snuck past Eastmoor Academy with a 37-31 victory.

Marion-Franklin better keep an eye on Ke'Sia Williams. She was instrumental in South's win, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 13 boards. Williams is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: she's pulled down at least nine every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Armyah Jackson, who posted five points and ten rebounds.

Marion-Franklin's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for South, their win bumped their record up to 4-0.

Marion-Franklin took a serious blow against South in their previous meeting back in January, falling 69-15. Can Marion-Franklin avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
