Benet Academy waltzed into their match on Friday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Glenbard East Rams. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Redwings also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

Aris Maurukas paced Benet Academy's offense, picking up seven kills. Maurukas got some help from Reed Hefley and his nine assists. Jacob Olejnik controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Benet Academy's victory bumped their record up to 16-3. As for Glenbard East, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-8 record this season.

Benet Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Oak Park-River Forest on the 26th. As for Glenbard East, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Hinsdale Central on the 26th.
