Softball Game Preview: Sebastopol Bobcats vs. Clarkdale Bulldogs

Sebastopol has gone a perfect 4-0 against Clarkdale recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. Sebastopol will be playing in front of their home fans against Clarkdale at 7:00 p.m. Sebastopol will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

It was a proper cat-fight when Sebastopol duked it out with Southeast Lauderdale on Saturday. Sebastopol came out on top against Southeast Lauderdale by a score of 7-3.

Savannah Crout made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched. Crout was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Cyrish Magculang, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Hanna Boleware was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

Sebastopol kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in 11 consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Clarkdale came up short against Hernando on Friday and fell 7-4.

Clarkdale saw nine different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rivers Jay, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Sebastopol's victory was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Clarkdale, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season.

Everything went Sebastopol's way against Clarkdale in their previous meeting on Monday, as Sebastopol made off with a 15-8 victory. Does Sebastopol have another victory up their sleeve, or will Clarkdale turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
