Baseball Preview: Eldon Mustangs vs. Waynesville Tigers
The Eldon Mustangs will challenge the Waynesville Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Eldon and four for Waynesville.
Eldon came into this matchup off a tough ten-run defeat on Saturday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Knob Noster by a score of 5-3 on Thursday.
Eldon got a good showing from Braden Wrye, who pitched 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. That one hit allowed gave Wrye a new career-low.
At the plate, Devin Hardy was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.
