Basketball Recap: Benzie Central Comes Up Short

Benzie Central lost against Onekama back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Benzie Central Huskies fell 50-37 to the Onekama Portagers. While losing is never fun, the Huskies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 566th, while the Portagers are ranked 146th).

Benzie Central has also been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 2-12 record this season. As for Onekama, they pushed their record up to 14-4 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Benzie Central has already played their next game (against Frankfort), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Onekama, they will square off against Suttons Bay at 7:00 p.m. on February 19th.
