Preview: Norwell Knights vs. Decatur Central Hawks
The Norwell Knights and the Decatur Central Hawks will round out the year against one another at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday at. Norwell will be strutting in after a victory while Decatur Central will be coming in after a loss.
Last Friday, Norwell was able to grind out a solid win over Bluffton, taking the game 38-31. Given Norwell's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 139th, while Bluffton is ranked 335th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Decatur Central unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They received a tough blow as they fell 64-49 to Franklin Community. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Decatur Central has scored all season.
Norwell pushed their record up to 5-2 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.0 points per game. As for Decatur Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.
