Gordo had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They came out on top against the Hubbertville Lions by a score of 4-1. That's more bragging rights for the Green Wave, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Gordo's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Hubbertville, they dropped their record down to 1-5 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Gordo didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 4-2 defeat against South Lamar on the 8th. As for Hubbertville, they will take on Phillips at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Hubbertville is facing Phillips at the right time seeing as Phillips is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
